LOVE was certainly in the air at one Scarborough school after students raised £400 for charity in a feast of Valentine’s Day celebrations.
The pupils from Scarborough College’s junior and senior schools donned red outfits for the occasion, which yielded the fantastic sum for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The school’s sixth form students also got in on the act, helping the Army Benevolent Fun, Sustainable Aid Supporting Haiti and the Take One Moment Foundation by taking sponsored messages to recipients throughout the senior school. Some students paid for wolf whistles to be delivered to their Valentine and homemade cakes were also sold.
Organisers said the day had been a great success and everyone was thrilled with the amount of money raised.
