A great future is clear for an ever-growing home improvement company.
New jobs are being created by East Yorkshire-based (EYG), which is set to open a new Scarborough showroom, and is launching a recruitment drive across North Yorkshire.
The company, which has been established 47 years and installs conservatories, orangeries and windows for customers across England and Wales, has enjoyed more than 22% growth over the past 12 months, with its turnover now in excess of £24 million.
The firm – one of the most recognisable and best known in the industry – already employs more than 300 people in seven branches across the country, with its operations run from its headquarters in Hull.
Enjoying a buoyant market and continued growth in 2017, the business has invested heavily into new products and showrooms, including the 7,000sq ft facility in Eastfield, which officially opens this Saturday (14 October).
Staff and managers from EYG will be on hand to meet customers at the Salter Road site, with offers including up to 55% off windows and 30% off conservatories and orangeries available on the day.
Recruitment managers will also be on hand to discuss potential career opportunities with the firm, with window and conservatory fitters now being sought alongside new conservatory builders and base teams to operate across North Yorkshire.
Managing director Nick Ward said: “We are very excited about the opening of our new Scarborough showroom as it is an area of the business we have invested heavily in, helping us really strengthen our work in North Yorkshire and along the Yorkshire coast.
“We are seeing increasing demand for our products, especially in the area of home extensions, as people are increasingly recognising the benefits of adding to their homes, creating extra space and adding value, rather than looking to move elsewhere.
“It is why we are continually adding to our product range and recently launched new flat roof lights which provide a large, totally unobstructed view to the sky. Homeowners increasingly want something different and rooms with the wow factor.
“To meet this demand we are recruiting once again, just 12 months after we previously added to our teams. It is good news for us, and for the area. These are jobs which have really good earnings potential, and due to the demand, provide constant work for those we take on.”
