A fun-filled afternoon was had by all during a Fawlty Towers event at Plaxton Court in Scarborough.

The fundraising get-together was organised by Scarborough Ladies Lifeboat Guild, in conjunction with Plaxton Court, to raise money for the RNLI.

Carole Parker, administration assistant at Plaxton Court, said: “It went really well and lots of people came along. It was great fun.”

The event featured an afternoon tea and guests were encouraged to wear hats for the occasion.

Scenes were acted out from much-loved episodes of Fawlty Towers, such as the famous dining room scene.

Carole said: “Manuel was getting hit over the head, Basil was doing goose-steps and Sybil was hyperventilating!

“Everyone really enjoyed it.”

The scenes were played out by actors from the Limelight Theatre Company.

The well-attended event raised around £500, which will all go towards supporting the RNLI.
