There will be a wide variety of free family activities at this weekend’s music festival at Oliver’s Mount.
The Future of Music event takes place on Saturday and Sunday and organisers say there should be plenty to do apart from enjoy the music.
Free activities will include: massage therapy tent, circus skills workshops, a story telling tent, kids’ comedy tent, kite making workshops, arts workshops, a meditation tent and dance workshops.
Event spokesman Samuel Holmes said: “We want to achieve a very laid back, very affordable, very family friendly music festival in the height of summer which celebrates mainly local and new music.
“We’ll be celebrating the very best of the region’s talent with many bands and artists from the local area as well as two very special headliners.”
He added that those who were under the age of 16 were admitted to the event free of charge when accompanied by an adult aged 21 or over.
Hope and Social will be the headline act on Saturday and Edwina Hayes will headline on Sunday.
It is due to last from noon until midnight on the Saturday and 11am until 8pm on Sunday.
