Fire crews remove cast iron drainpipe hanging loose from building in Whitby

Fire crews were called to a loose cast iron drainpipe that has come away from a building in Whitby.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service received the call at 10.40am on Saturday September 28.

Whitby fire crews attended the address on Golden Lion Bank and used triple extension ladders to removed the drainpipe and make the scene safe.

They street was temporarily closed.
