Fire crews were called at 8.47am yesterday after two separate vehicles crashed in icy conditions on Thornton Lane.
The first vehicle had hit ice and rolled on to its roof, fortunately the driver was safely out of the vehicle when the fire service arrived.
The second vehicle had spun off the road into a gully. The fire crew carried out scene safety only.
