Flixton are now four wins away from a dream final at Lord’s after they beat Sessay by seven wickets in their National Village Cup North Yorkshire final on Sunday.
Village Cup champions Sessay won the toss and elected to bat first, making their way to 164-7 from 40 overs.
Their top-scorers were Paul Flintoff (44) and Lee Margerison (31), with Connor Stephenson taking 2-14 to help restrict them.
Flixton’s reply was emphatic, Rich Malthouse top-scoring with 53 for his side, with youngster Will Hutchinson adding 37 and Stu Stocks 36 as they made it comfortably to 167-3 from 29.1 overs.
Following their win, Flixton will host the winners of the Manchester area competition, Egerton, in the last 16 on Sunday June 24.
