LIBRARIES in Filey and Hunmanby will be going red this month to raise money for charity.
The two venues are set to work in conjunction with the British Heart Foundation’s Start a Heart appeal to generate funds for new defibrillators.
Both libraries will have a display and collection box for donations, culminating in a Go Red Day on February 25.
As part of the event Filey Library, in Station Avenue, will be hosting an advice day on Monday, February 21, between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
Nurses will be on hand to give help on achieving a healthy lifestyle and will also carry out health checks and blood pressure tests.
Hunmanby Library will also be offering customers blood pressure checks on Tuesday, February, 22, between 2pm and 4pm.
The well-being of local youngsters is also on the agenda with a story telling event on the benefits of healthy eating taking place in at Filey Library on Wednesday, February, 23 between 1.45pm and 2.45pm.
To round off the week, Hunmanby Library will be having a story time day on Friday, February, 25, from 2.15pm to 3pm, and there will be fruits on offer for children to sample.
