THE North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Pickering has teamed up with a number of classic car and motorcycle owners and enthusiasts for the 18th annual Vintage Vehicle Weekend tomorrow and Sunday.
Rail passengers will be able to experience the beauty, smell and sound of classic vehicles.
On show will be many British marques from bygone days, such as Humber, Wolseley, Jowett, Triumph, Austin, BSA.
Several car clubs are also in attendance, such as Allard, Ford Capri and Triumph Stag.
This year there is an added attraction for passengers – displays of historic vehicles at Levisham, Goathland and Grosmont stations.
Meanwhile at Pickering, a heritage bus will operate from the station, providing free trips around the market town on both days.
Levisham station plays host to miniature traction engines, alongside displays of up to 45 historic motorcycles and cars.
Live music will also be on offer from 12 until 4pm each day.
Shadows Music will perform on the Saturday and Jive Express on the Sunday, giving visitors a flavour of the sounds of the 50s, 60s and 70s in between train departures and arrivals. A real ale tent completes the picture at Levisham.
Goathland station will play host to 55 vehicles along with historic motorbikes.
Motoring through the ages will be the theme at Grosmont which features a whopping 60 vehicles.
