CHILDREN on the hunt for Easter eggs enjoyed a change of location, searching under pews and in the aisles of a local church for their chocolate reward.
A hat exhibition - with headwear donated by villagers - various stalls, refreshments and a knitted chick giveaway also contributed to an Easter fun weekend held by St Nicholas Church in Ganton.
Churchwarden Sue Corrigan said: “We had a super weekend with lots of people round and we very pleased with the outcome.
“We try every Bank Holiday to open the church and put on an exhibition to encourage people to come.
“Schoolchildren at Hertford Vale painted Easter eggs for a display and we judged them.
“Every year we try to do something different, this time hats seemed appropriate, there was all sorts, it looked wonderful.”
