Get ready for festive fun at Santa Dash

St Catherine’s Hospice is asking would-be Santas and reindeer to don festive costumes and join the fun at the Santa Dash 2014 on Sunday December 7.

The popular event will once again be held in Filey, with the flag going up at 11am at Country Park and finishing at Royal Parade café, a distance of approximately 1.5 miles.

Following refreshments at the Royal Parade Café, a free “Christmas Special” bus service will transport all participants back to the start.

Event Fundraiser Louise Gravestock explains: “It’s not a race, just a bit of fun and anyone can take part, regardless of age and ability.

“It is a great opportunity to start celebrating Christmas by getting together as a family or a team and taking part.

People can complete the dash in their own time and at a pace that is comfortable for them. It’s all about entering into the seasonal cheer and having fun, whilst raising vital funds for patient care at Saint Catherine’s.”

She added: “Whether you are a Sauntering Santa or a Running Reindeer, come along and join in the festive family fun!”
