RESIDENTS were treated to a fun-packed day as the nineth annual People’s Carnival took place in the Crescent Garden area of Scarborough.
A bucking bronco kept youngsters entertained, and there was also music provided by Jazz Legends and Scarborough Belles.
Carrie Newton, a volunteer project co-ordinator for the event, said: Everybody’s worked really hard to put it on and it’s been a really great day. The event was set up to try and bring people together, and that’s exactly what it’s done.
“It’s about the community and it’s for the community.”
The event was such a success, that Carrie’s hoping to stage the event again next year.
“Everybody seems to have had a wonderful time.
“We really need to do another one of these to get the community out and for them to interact like they did today.”
