A NEW weight management service is starting up tomorrow for children in Scarborough.
The service, funded by NHS North Yorkshire and York, is aimed at getting young people and their parents fitter and healthier.
MoreLife Clubs are weight management programmes for young people who are above a healthy weight.
The clubs are created to give them the chance to take part in fun activities, learn how to eat healthily and lead more active, healthier lives.
It starts tomorrow at 9.30am at Scarborough Sports Centre and runs for 10 weeks.
Children aged seven to 13 above a healthy weight, together with their parents, are invited to take part in a range of activities including dodgeball, aerobics, yoga and football. They will also get to explore their understanding of healthy eating and exercise.
The clubs are delivered by MoreLife, a weight management company based at Leeds Metropolitan University.
Anyone interested in getting involved can call MoreLife on 0113 812 5233 or email email@example.com
