A SCARBOROUGH group which supports children and their families living with diabetes has a new name.
The group, which was formerly known as Scarborough Juvenile Diabetes Support Group, is now called Scarborough’s Giddy, which stands for Group for Insulin Dependant Diabetic Youngsters.
It was founded by Marie Reynard and Judy Mills who are both parents of a child living with diabetes.
The group meets up once a month, usually the last Sunday of the month.
This month’s meeting will be held at Playzone from 2pm until 4pm on Sunday.
The group also has a closed Facebook group at email@example.com which families can request to join.
Marie explained: “We have our Facebook page set as closed so that families can be assured that the only other people on our group are youngsters and their families living in our area with diabetes.”
New members are always welcome.
