THE BIG day doesn’t have to be big on cost thanks to a new delivery to Scarborough Age UK.
The charity shop in Newborough has taken stock of second-hand wedding dresses and accessories, creating an affordable bridal range to raise funds for the elderly.
Store manager Christine Render said the dresses had attracted extra attention with three sales already made.
She said: “There were dresses a few at different shops in the region and everybody decided it would be best to send to Scarborough.
“There are some vintage ones and some really modern ones, veils and bridesmaid dresses.
“We’ve got two metre rails which are both full and we have some spares upstairs, there’s about 30-40 dresses.
“I’m hoping people support us as were trying to make money for charity.”
