Holiday fun at library keeps kids happy

A RANGE of summer activities held at Eastfield Library during the school holidays are proving popular with local youngsters.

This week’s event was called Animal Antics and involved a reading challenge and craft activities as well as outdoor fun at the Dell.

A library spokeswoman said: “There was a quite good turnout. There was a craft activity and then they all walked up to the Dell for some pond dipping and organised games.”

She added that about 14 children attended the session which was organised by the Dell Rangers and Eastfield Children’s Centre. She said: “It is run as part of our summer reading activities.”
