Hospice friends hold spring fair

A SPRING fair is being held by the Scarborough Friends of Martin House Children’s Hospice.

It will take place on Saturday April 16 from 10am to noon at Ayton Village Hall, off Main Street.

Admission will cost £1 to include coffee and biscuits.

There will be various stalls including a raffle, tombola, books, toys and many more. A face painter will also be at the event.

There is a car park at the venue with plenty of spaces.

All the proceeds will go towards Martin House, which is the only children’s hospice serving the Scarborough area and all of North Yorkshire.

The hospice at Boston Spa provides care and support for children and teenagers with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and costs £4.2 million a year to run. Fundraiser George Sowersby said: “Thanks to everyone for your support as it is very much appreciated.”
