As women are expected to make up a quarter of all construction workers in the UK by 2020, one Yorkshire housebuilder is profiling some of its employees, to celebrate the roles of women within the workforce.

Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, has highlighted the roles of team members Kerry Bracken-Chalmers and Michaela Corbett.

Kerry Bracken-Chalmers is based at St John’s Walk development in Hoylandswaine, where she has been Assistant Site Manager for the past four months. Kerry made a major career change from being a civil servant, to taking on a management apprenticeship with Wates Group in 1997, after building up the courage to take a step into construction.
