Hundreds of Scarborough churchgoers braved the weather to take part in the Good Friday “Walk of Witness”.
The service started at William Street car park and went along Aberdeen Walk and into the precinct, where the crowd sang hymns and listened to a bible reading.
The crowd then made its way down Westborough, Newborough, along St Thomas Street and up to Scarborough Castle, where an open air service took place.
The event is organised by Churches Together, a body that brings together people from many different churches for fellowship.
The march, which has happened every Good Friday for decades, was attended by ministers, members of the congregation and representatives from the Street Angels.
