The Pearl of Africa Choir visited Scalby School and shared with us an unforgettable memory.
The choir performed traditional African songs for the school. We learned a couple of African dances taught by a nine-year-old choir member.
All of the year seven students took part in two activities. I took part in the dancing and drumming.
There was also crafts and singing and St Martin’s School also came and took part in the workshops. The day was a success.
Scalby student Imogen Higgins said: “The Pearl of Africa Choir were really fun. To be included in singing and dancing with such a talented group of people was very inspiring and I am honoured to have had the chance to meet them.”
