KFC is coming back to Scarborough.
Councillors today have given the fried chicken giant permission to open a restaurant in Huntriss Row.
Neighbours raised concerns over noise and odour but the council, providing the company complies with environmental guidelines, are happy for the 57-seater eatery to open.
Cllr John Blackburn told today’s planning committee meeting that: “We need companies like KFC coming to Scarborough. “They are a big name and as we have heard people want them here.
“There is already McDonalds and Pizza Hut in the street so it’s not changing what’s there already.”
The store will create up to 45 part time jobs.
