The latest concert to be announced at the Open Air Theatre will pull together some of the biggest names in pop.... from the 80s.
‘Legends of Pop’ starring Bananarama, Jason Donovan, Rick Astley, Sonia, Hazell Dean, Brother Beyond’s Nathan Moore and Undercover, is set to transport the audience back in time to the dizzy heights of the electric pop era, says Scarborough Council.
The concert will take place on August 2 2014, and follows on the back of Status Quo and the Last Night of the Proms Armed Forces day concert announced last week.
Cllr David Chance, the council’s cabinet member for Tourism and Culture said: “Legends of Pop will be the kind of retro concert that has enjoyed huge popularity throughout the country in recent years as many fans look to relive some of the best pop hits of their youth. With the talented line up we’re bringing to the open air theatre, audiences should expect a fantastic evening’s entertainment and a chance to create some great new memories too.”
