Refreshing to see plan for town centre cinema.

It was refreshing to see the application for planning permission for a town centre cinema in your paper from developers MRP. Now the council has turned off the Christmas lights eventually, it can now focus on generating income through growing council tax instead of wasting it.

A development such as this will be the start of the regeneration of Scarborough’s Town Centre. Charity shops and hairdressers are not going to attract people to the town centre, but this proposal will.

Will the council have the foresight to seize this opportunity? And light the flame that ignites life into what is becoming a dilapidated m,etropolis.
