Letter: Community spirit in Filey
At last we finally get the Tour de Yorkshire to visit Filey and what a spectacle it turned out to be - bumper crowds and the weather helped make it a memorable day and hopefully due to the support and effort displayed at Filey it will return next year.
One thing that stood out to me was that the community spirit that has always been a part of life in Filey is still going strong - this was evident by the amount of effort that went into decorating Filey and its boundaries with bikes, bunting and other displays - this was an outstanding effort.
I would like to personally thank the businesses, schools, individuals and groups that made Filey stand out in the Tour de Yorkshire, thank you all. (See pages 29-30)
