Letter: Emergency services did a brilliant job
Having done the usual ritual observance, that of making sure the boat was okay during the recent high tides, I managed to see at first hand what a brilliant job the emergency services were doing on our behalf.
The council, the highways department, the Environment Agency, the coastguard and the police were first class in the way they rose to the challenge.
There was the young fox trapped on the accropodes, who was so confused by all the flashes from the cameras, he didn’t know which way to turn.
Sadly he made the wrong call, and ran towards the north east corner into the oncoming swells.
I don’t know if he survived or not, but the foxes up the Castle Dykes may alas be without one of their number.
