After a short breath-test blow and red face, the officer explained he had been following me for some time and rather concerned about my erratic driving.

...You must understand this is very light-hearted - I have never been stopped by the police ... but I hope this message gets across the disgusting state of the Scarborough roads.
I travel up Hay Lane many times a day and Hay Lane is not a road it’s a ploughed field. We need tarmacadam now.
