I understand that Scarborough Borough Council has decided that NO environmental impact assessment is needed.

Who has made such a decision without consulting the local community, Woodland Trust, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, the national parks and highways to name but a few.

Surely this should be taken into consideration as construction will affect the ancient woodland, wildlife, the A174 and the local community.

Local businesses will surely be affected, and the beauty and tranquillity of this area spoilt forever.
