Shop doorways with sleeping bag vagrants, some people who look drugged up on legal (now illegal) highs, some alcoholics in the centre of town drinking openly, cyclists hurtling along pedestrian areas, and the usual known dozen or so addicts gathering outside pubs in town.
This is not a good welcome to Scarborough’s 2016 holidaymakers.
Scarborough Council’s street cleaners do a fine job of cleaning up.
Surely it is now time the local police did their job and cleaned the town’s streets.
What is the point in introducing by laws if they are not enforced?
A zero tolerance attitude to anti-social behaviour would make Scarborough a far more attractive destination fun, for decent people to holiday in.
