I write this letter today to bring up that old chestnut of grass cutting.
The grassed areas and verges and roundabouts have just been left to grow at Eastfield.
It’s not right or fair for this to happen as we are council taxpayers who pay a large amount of cash to the North Yorkshire County Council and the borough council for services.
The length of grass makes it difficult to cut, and when wet makes a mess all over the footpaths and cut grass is left in the gutters at the side of roads, which ends up blocking drains.
Can councillors get in touch with those who are in charge of the grass cutting?
Council are quick to chase non-payment of council tax.
