Publican Kath Duffy has been looking after Scarborough RNLI crews on Tuesday evenings, after their weekly exercise.

Kath, who runs the Newcastle Packet in Sandside, lays on a tasty spread every week for the lads, who appreciate her generosity.

In addition to feeding the lifeboat crews, Kath recently raised £278 for the £200,000 Supacat appeal with a raffle and an auction of lots donated by local traders.

Lifeboat operations manager John Senior said: “We are deeply indebted to Kath for her kindness and hospitality, week in, week out.”
