Light up a Life services in Scarborough and across our area have raised around £30,000 for St Catherine’s Hospice.
The annual festive event gives people the chance to sponsor a Christmas tree light in memory of a loved one.
The Scarborough service, which took place at the hospice in Throxenby Lane last week, attracted a strong turnout.
Carolyn Jackson, fundraising team leader, said: “All the services has gone really well and thankfully the weather has been kind to us.
“I would like to thank all our sponsors and everyone who has supported the appeal in various ways.
“It’s a wonderful way for people to remember a loved one at this time of year.”
