Long service awards for Girlguiding duo
Scarborough West Division Commissioner Gill Armstrong recently visited 1st Cloughton Brownies to present two long service awards.
Marie Couch was presented with her award for 20 years in Girlguiding.
She has been with the unit since its reopening.
Linda Davison was presented with her award for 40 years in Girlguiding. Linda has spent her time helping at Brownies and Guides in and around Scarborough – holding posts at district, divisional and county level. She has taken Guides to Japan, Rome, Switzerland, France and Holland during her 40 years.
A visit to a reception with the Queen at St James Palace was one of her many highlights.
Karen Coles was also thanked for 25 years in Girlguiding.
