Man's body found in Cloughton

Officers were called to an area near the Hayburn Wyke Hotel in Cloughton near Scarborough just before 6.40pm yesterday (3 April 2015).

A member of the public who had been out walking discovered the body of a man aged approximately 50 years old.

Officers and paramedics attended and confirmed the discovery.

The scene was secured and examined and it was established that there were no suspicious circumstances.

Mr Sheffield’s family has been informed and investigations continue. Police are not yet in a position to confirm the identity of the deceased.
