Scarborough and District Railway Modellers are gearing up for their annual show at the Memorial Hall in Pickering.

The event will take place on the weekend of August 18 and 19 and everyone is welcome to come along.

The club which is in its 34th year will have at least ten working layouts on display ranging from 2mm through to O gauge.

Making its first showing in more than twenty years will be a model of Scalby Station which was built by club members in the 1980s.

This will be the layouts last outing as it is due to be put up for sale after the show to make way for new layouts the club are building.

Other club layouts on show will be Haymarket Cross, a fictitious digital OO ’steam shed which is based on Scarborough engine shed in the early 1960s and will include around one hundred working locos.

The show is open 10am to 5pm on the Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on the Sunday.
