The family of murdered teengaer Michael Graham have spoken of their devastation over his loss.
Michael, know as Mickey to his family, and as Angel among friends, died after receiving fatal stab wounds in an incident on Saturday night.
Speaking less than 48 hours after his death, his family bravely released a statement via North Yorkshire Police.
It said: “We are absolutely devastated by what has happened to Mickey and we are struggling to come to terms with the fact that he has gone.
“We hope those responsible for his death are brought to justice.”
This afternoon a 16-year-old appeared at Scarborough Magistrates Court charged with Michael’s murder.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, also faced a charge of wounding with intent to cause grevious bodily harm, following the attack near Olympia Leisure, in Foreshore Road, late on Saturday night.
