FLORAL tributes to Natalia Wiley are still being laid at the site of the tragic car crash that took the 15-year-old’s life.
The blue Vauxhall Corsa in which Natalia was travelling left the road and overturned on Saturday. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Friends and relatives of the bubbly Pickering schoolgirl, still struggling to come to terms with her death, left moving messages alongside flowers at the A170, between Ebberston and Snainton.
Many have added photographs of Natalia and soft toys to their written notes and letters.
Her friends Tipp and Char wrote: “Words can’t describe how we all feel. You’re my beautiful girl, my shining star, and even though you’ve gone away, you always will be.
“We will never forget your cheeky grin and your bubbly, gorgeous personality. Heaven has got itself a new angel now.”
A message was addressed to Natalia from fellow Lady Lumley’s School classmates Will and Ben, alongside a photograph of them alongside her.
They wrote: “You may not be with us now but you always will be in our hearts. We will always be there for you. You will never be forgotten.”
Another card also spoke of Natalia’s bubbly, happy personality and infectious smile.
In a note addressed to ‘Natty’, Jackie wrote: “We will remember you forever. I still can’t take in what happened.
“I’m missing you so much already chick. Didn’t think it was going to hurt this much. You’re only 15. You were too full of life baby. This was too soon, RIP my angel.”
Groups on social networking site Facebook in tribute to popular Natalia have also been flooded with tributes.
Since Saturday, more than 2,500 people have joined the groups, with many sharing fond memories of the girl whose parents described her as “beautiful, happy and confident”.
Kate Russell said: “Never forget the way you made me laugh! love you xxx”
Even those who did not know Natalia personally left messages, after they were moved by news reports about the tragedy.
The 18-year-old driver of the car Natalia was travelling in escaped the fatal incident with only minor injuries.
He was treated at Scarborough Hospital and was arrested by police in connection with the incident after he was discharged.
A 21-year-old from Kirkbymoorside, who was driving a white Ford Fiesta, was arrested at the scene of the accident, which happened at 6.30pm.
Both have been released on police bail pending further inquires.
Anyone with information or who witnessed the cars before the incident is urged to contact Traffic Constable Neil Campbell or Traffic Sergeant Dave Williamsom of the North Yorkshire Police’s Road Policing Group on 0845 6060247, quoting reference NYP-08012011-0392.
