LOCAL firms were helped to get “connected” at an annual fundraiser for St Catherine’s Hospice.
The Business Network Lunch, held at the Royal Hotel, saw more than 30 representatives of local businesses and organisations take part in a fun “Commercial Break” marketing networking session.
Hospice fundraiser Louise Leah said: “Our Business Network Lunch has become a popular and well supported event on our fundraising calendar. We always try and incorporate a theme as an ‘ice-breaker’.
“Over lunch, each table of delegates were set the task to team up and rewrite a 2011 version of a famous long standing advertising strapline for three iconic items, namely Audi, Martini and Heinz Beans. The delegates all entered into the spirit of the theme.”
The hospice provides care to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. It provides in and out-patient care, neurology and bereavement support, and day care for patients.
