New organ plays for first time

THE latest addition to the Scarborough Fair Collection has made its first appearance.

The ‘Accordion Castle’ will be at the bottom of Baxtergate in Whitby until Saturday December 10.

It will then move to Scarborough for its first appearance at the top of Vernon Road.

It is a ‘one of a kind’ accordion, built by Tony Decap, in Hermentals, Belgium.

Whitby RNLI are collecting while the Accordion Castle plays throughout the day.

The organ will also be playing while Marie Curie Cancer Care collects in Scarborough, at the top of Vernon Road, on December 11, 18 and 23.

The “Accordion Castle” is a new automatic playing instrument, created with the focus of improving the musical, visual and performance capabilities without sacrificing on quality.
