Scarborough's residents are wanted to become the face of the town's new £14 million North Bay Waterpark in a national TV advert.

The management team behind Scarborough’s brand new Alpamare Waterpark is looking for water park enthusiasts to star in a new TV advert being produced ahead of its scheduled opening in July.

Dr Anton Hoefter, Alpamare chief executive officer, said: “This advert is an amazing opportunity for those that are as excited and proud about the waterpark as we are, to get involved in promoting it and Scarborough around the country.

"If you’ve always fancied being the face of a major attraction and helping to promote Scarborough far and wide, then now is your chance, we want to hear from you!”

Scarborough stars wanted to appear in TV advert

The team are looking for people of all ages, however they are specifically looking to recruit two parents with a son and daughter aged between 8 and 12. While this would ideally be an existing family unit, the team may consider selecting appropriate individuals to put together to act as a ‘mock’ family. Groups of male and female friends aged between 18 and 25 are also required.

Anyone interested in applying to star in the advert must be available to attend a casting audition from 10am on Thursday June 2 and should express their interest online at The closing date for expressions of interest is Friday May 27.
