TODDLERS from a Scarborough nursery enjoyed a day out at the beach and raised money for a good cause in the process.

Children from Green Hedges Nursery set off from their Crown Crescent base to take part in Barnardo’s Big Toddle.

Michelle Maclean who has helped to organise the toddle, said: “The children looked fantastic as we walked to the beach where the children did some singing and played parachute and ring games. We would like to thank Jenny Hirst and Natasha Allsop from our local Barnardo’s branch who came to help us.”

Carol Morley, the manager of the nursery, said the children dressed as animals during the event.“Parents, family and friends have been very supportive and we are expecting to get a good response.
