East Riding of Yorkshire Council is reminding visitors to Bridlington that the popular land train services will resume on Saturday July 4.

Although both services - Bridlington South and Bridlington North - will be running, there will be changes this season.

The Bridlington North service will only be running on a circular route between Sewerby Hall and Gardens and Limekiln Lane, because of the ongoing improvement works along the seafront, which have been delayed by the coronavirus pandemic. There will be no stop at Bondville Model Village.

The Bridlington South service will run on its normal route between South Cliff Park and Ride car park and Bridlington Spa.

On both routes, passengers will have to conform with government regulations on public transport, and face coverings will be required. There will also be reduced capacity, to allow for social distancing.

Passengers are required to fold prams, buggies and wheelchairs before boarding. There will be a queueing system adjacent to the platform, to allow for social distancing. All passengers are requested to make card payments only.

Land trains will run seven days a week until September, between 10.30am and 5pm each day.
