Letter: Be on alert against this council policy

I would advise all leisure and sports clubs located in green belt areas of the town to now draw up battle plans to save the many varied and important sporting and social areas of our lovely town.

The town’s family silver is at stake here, many of which are well over 100 years old and could possibly be under review - regardless of their popularity, aesthetic or historical importance.

I maybe wrong but it really makes one fear for all our long-standing facilities in light of the saga of South Cliff Bowling Club which we should support without hesitation.
