Paul Tonkinson raises vital charity cash by completing London Marathon

Scarborough-born comedian Paul Tonkinson raised over £2,000 for charity, when he ran the London Marathon recently.

Paul completed the 26.2 mile challenge in three hours and 11 minutes, on the last day of Parkinson’s Awareness Week (18-24 April).

He joined a 230-strong team of runners of all abilities who chose to support Parkinson’s UK.

Paul said: “I’m supporting Parkinson’s UK because of my fellow comedian and good friend Rob Deering, his dad has been living with Parkinson’s for more than 15 years.

“It was an incredible day as ever with amazing support from the crowd.”
