Enjoy these pictures of some of Scarborough's old department stores and theatres before they were knocked down.
1. Bar Congregational Church
Bar Congregational Church was situated on Aberdeen Walk. It was built in 1850 and demolished in the 1960s.
2. The Futurist Theatre
The popular theatre and cinema on Foreshore Road was demolished in 2018 despite a long fight by campaigners to save it. It hosted many famous artists including The Beatles and Rolling Stones.
3. The Holbeck Hall Hotel
This clifftop hotel made the headlines nationally and internationally when its collapse was captured on live TV in 1993.
4. Floral Hall
This entertainment venue situated within Alexandra Gardens on the North side was knocked down in 1989 and replaced by what is now Scarborough Bowls Centre.
