North Yorkshire County Councillor for Whitby Streonshalh Joe Plant said he has been flooded with calls from angry residents.

Some have told Councillor Plant that Gazza was buying a barbecue and staying in a caravan.

People are absolutely furious about it,” he said. “Why does he think he’s the exception to the rule?

“The majority of people have been looking after each other, making huge sacrifices and trying to follow the Governemnt rules.

“Then you’ve got someone who comes into Whitby and treats it like a holiday.

“It’s an absolute disgrace.

“I reported him to the police and our MP. I’m sure other people did the same thing.”

Councillor Plant thanked everyone who is doing their bit by following the Government advice.
