Robin Saunders, nine and his brother Felix, six, had the idea of wearing fancy dress during their regular walks round the village and have already doubled their fundraising target of £65.

Their mum Angela said: “We do bits of fundraising where we can and we found out about the work of Saint Catherine’s through a local business networking group.

"It was the boys’ idea to dress up and we’ve been trying to get creative with our outfits!”

The family have been out twice so far and their outfits have included Super Mario, a horse, The Boy in the Dress, a clown, the Greatest Showman and an Egyptian.

Angela said: “We’re making the most of what we have at home and have been looking up how to make outfits on YouTube.

“The reaction has been brilliant, with vans tooting their horns, tractor drivers waving and neighbours laughing and smiling as we go by.

"People know it’s for a good cause and the boys are over the moon with how much they’ve raised, so we’ll keep going!”
