Community cake sale to be hosted by Avalon Group

The Avalon Group supports adults with disabilities, mental health needs, dementia and autism to live fulfilling lives, becoming active, valued members of their local community.

Recent projects have included new day services for older people living with dementia, and access to arts based opportunities for learning disabled adults.

The event will take place on Wednesday, March 11 at the group’s office in Harrogate between 11am and 1pm.

The funds raised through the Community Cake Sale will ensure that The Avalon Group can do more.

Larry Hollando, the group’s CEO said “Social care relies on strong communities, coming together to look out for one another, and ensuring that each person has the opportunity to contribute something meaningful.

“By bringing the community together, we want to show how amazing the people we support are, and the wonderful outcomes they achieve each and every day.”
