Police have arrested a Scarborough man they were searching for after he failed to appear at court.

Police arrested wanted man Mitchell Thomas Johnson, 25.

Officers appealed for help in finding Mitchell Thomas Johnson, 25, after he failed to appear at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on September 2 in relation to alleged public order offences committed in the town.

As spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal to find wanted Scarborough man, Mitchell Thomas Johnson.

"We are pleased to say he has now been arrested."
