Saks hair salon on Westborough, Scarborough, has closed down - here's why

The popular hairdresser's branch is now empty and details of the business, such as opening times, have been removed.

A spokesperson from Saks has confirmed that the store closed "recently".

She said: "This was as a result of a personal life choice made by the franchisee to allow her to focus more on her growing family and support her husband in a new business venture. We wish them all the very best in their next chapter."

The premises are currently available to let through estate agents Colin Ellis.

A description of the unit on Colin Ellis' website reads: "A prime town centre former hair and beauty salon that offers a split level sales / salon working space of approximately 128 sqm (1,385 sq ft). Although the unit is ideally set up and arranged for a hair and beauty salon with work stations and back wash units in place, it offers ample space to suit a variety of uses. We are offering this with immediate vacant possession and a new lease direct from the landlord."
