Scalby Fair organisers announce fate of Scalby Charity Walk

The message which was posted on the Scalby Fair Facebook page read:

"Happy New year from Scalby Fair and hopefully you are all looking forward to a much more positive 2021.

"Due to the ongoing lockdown and restrictions due to the current Covid 19 situation, we have made the very difficult decision not to organise and run Scalby Charity Walk this year.

"While we hope the vaccination roll out will see a return to a more normal life, we believe that the reality of this happening in good time for Easter Monday (5th April) and for 'normality' to resume is unlikely.

"We would like to thank you for your support of the walk and hope that when normal times do return, we are able to organise a walk to remember.
